Sometimes TM Smith Solutions Just Take " A Little Time" - TM Smith was supplied with a customer part print, a spindle mounting, and a two week deadline for a Custom Straddle Milling Arbor (picture above)  Working closely with our customer, Design Approval and Engineering was complete in two days. Using our Global Shop Process Management system the job seamlessly entered our manufacturing process. Simultaneously we received the milling cutters and inspected them to verify the bore sizes, key-way locations and hub thickness stack-ups. After heat treat all critical features were finish ground for squareness, concentricity, and size within 5 microns. Then before shipping all details where completely assembled and inspected for fit and function, dis-assembled marked and packaged. "We made the two week deadline"
